St. James the Less has a long history of educating children in Northeast Columbus. It first opened in 1949 and today we serve students in Kindergarten through Eighth grade who represent over 14 different zip codes.
As a small Catholic school, St. James the Less feels like a close-knit family. At St. James the Less we believe in educating the whole child to help give them the tools they need to be successful. Our students are provided a safe learning environment, grounded in Catholic tradition and values.
In addition to our regular curriculum, we offer Spanish , American Sign Language , and SmartBoard technology for all grades. We offer after school care, as well as an after school tutoring program for selected students. Students have an opportunity to participate in band, vocal choir, and bell choir. We have a full service cafeteria and sports program for students in grades 4-8.
We will begin accepting registration for admissions for 2012-2013 February 1st. We will hold an Open House for interested families on Sunday, January 29th from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. We accept the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship offered through the Ohio Department of Education. Students who reside in the Columbus City Schools District, and attend a designated qualifying public school are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
New registration paperwork will be available to download by January 30, 2011. Please contact the school office with any questions. 614.268.3311 or cvanmete@cdeducation.org
