WELCOME BACK

• Transportation:  We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we work with the transportation department to get all of our bus issues straightened out.  We are still having trouble with route #716, but hope to have it fixed by the end of the week.  If you are unsure of your child's route number, or bus location, please contact the school office, and they will work with you to get you the correct information.
   
• Service Learning/Breakfast Bar:  This year we are working with A Kid Again organization for our Service Learning Project.  A Kid Again is an organization that works with terminally ill children, and their families.  They grant special wishes to these children some of whom spend countless hours, or days inside a hospital.  One avenue in which we will raise money for this project is by hosting a morning breakfast bar.  The bar is open from 7:30 - 7:45, and serves pre-packaged breakfast snacks such as Pop-Tarts, granola bars, and cereal bars.  Prices range from .50 cents to $1.00.  Children must arrive prior to 7:45 to purchase items from the breakfast bar, as they are not permitted to take the food to their classroom.  
   
• Lunch Schedule:  Please refer to the schedule listed below if you'd like to visit your child during lunch.  You are welcome to visit any day and purchase a tray lunch with your child, or bring a special lunch treat to them.  This is also an ideal time to schedule appointments for your child.  A reminder that we will not release students during weekly Mass.  Thursday, grades 6,7, and 8 attend Mass 10:30 - 11:15, and Friday, grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 attend Mass 10:30 - 11:15.

• School Supplies:  If have not yet had an opportunity to purchase all of your child's school supplies, there is a limited quantity of donated supplies available in the school office.  They are free, and are for anyone who needs them.  The office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
   
•  School Handbook:  If you have not reviewed the school's Family Handbook, please do so soon and return the blue form signed on both sides.  The handbook contains important information for families including a calendar for the school year, policies about cell phone usage, gum and candy, and guidelines for the proper St. James the Less school uniform.  If you have any questions about our policies and procedures, please refer to your Family Handbook.
